Come celebrate the work of some of the most innovative novelists, poets and translators from Japan, Korea and Pakistan. Hear about the challenges (and the pleasures) of writing and translating across national, cultural, and linguistic borders.

Crack the code of the cryptic, suspenseful world of acclaimed young South Korean novelist Young-ha Kim, author of Your Republic is Calling You. Translator Bruce Fulton, editor of three new landmark anthologies of Korean literature in English translation, invites Kim, a visiting scholar at Columbia University, to share his take on spies, popular cinematic influences and a bold new wave of Korean literature in translation.
