Korea Times 41st Modern Korean Literature Translation Awards

The Korea Times (perhaps the most muck-raking English newspaper in Korea) is running its 41st modern literature translation contest.

It needs to be a modern work (post 1980), but it can be any work you want. That last point makes me think this must be a very difficult contest to judge.

it is strongly advised that anyone intending to translate a full-length work, especially, should contact the author (through the publisher if necessary) before beginning, to inquire if such permission might be forthcoming, of if another translator is already working on it.

More rules are available at the link at the top.

It’s an n opportunity for anyone with translation skills…. take a look.. if you need an editor…. πŸ˜‰
