Big Opportunity for Korean Translations: The Man Asian Literary Prize

KTLIT just received an email from Marina Ma at the Man Asian Literary Prize. She is attempting to increase the number of Korean submissions for the Man Asian Literary Prize. And thanks to her for caring about that!

Here are the details:

*Submissions are now open for the 2011 Man Asian Literary Prize. The cash prize for the winner is US$30,000 and US$5,000 for the translator (if any).*

The Man Asian Literary Prize (MALP) is an annual literary award given to the best novel by an Asian writer, either written in English or translated into English and published within the Prize year. The MALP is
awarded to a published novel and entries are to be made by
publishers.

The longlist will be announced in October 2011, shortlist in January 2012
and the winner at the Award Ceremony in Hong Kong in March 2012.

Deadline for online submission is *31 August 2011.*
