- From the New York Times: an unfortunate but historically understandable dust up in Tongyeong. Poet Yu Chi-hwan lived there, and from 1945 to 1967, daily frequented the same post office to send thousands of letters to his muse. Locals have proposed re-naming that Post Office for him, but others brand Yu a Japanese collaborator.

. - If you happen to be in Massachusetts you might want to drop by Smith College and check out Korea’s most famous poet, Ko Un. Ko is the man in the poetry field.
. - A Korean (American) group in the US goes about it all wrong by focusing on “Hallyu” in the US. When there’s a name for Korean culture in the US, use that.. until then… get going on getting Korean culture known ….. “Intro to Korean Culture” would be a better title for the event.
