OMG I wish I were kidding Dep’t – #1 Imprima Agency Website

Just a short bit after I posted this article on the Imprima Agency and COO Terry Kim, I met an author who is represented by Imprima. This, and a discussion with another foreign-author who writes about Korea, led me to the Imprima website to check them out.

I was happy to see that some of the headers are in English, and even happier to see this:

Which I then clicked on to reveal the WTF moment for an agency that

“By individual, Koreans are extremely well-performing in various fields. But most of them are unnoticed because the system doesn’t support them well. We are helping them gain the right appreciation both at home and abroad,” he said.

Kim said that this job is already well-known in other advanced countries but in Korea it is beginning to be noticed since Shin’s novel. “This is a promising job in the future as Korean literature has yet to be well known to other countries,” he said.

Coming Soon?

Really… How can you be the international publisher if your English site doesn’t exist? How is this going to help Korean literature to “be well known to other countries,” unless that country is North Korea, which shares a language?

Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh…….
