Please Look After Mother (엄마를 부탁해)

In the midst of a rather long walk from the Lock Museum (Look forward to a brilliant podcast on this soon, from the clever lads at kcreport.net) near Hyewha Station, through Insadong, down to Gwangwhamun, then a hike up the back of Namsan (the line for the cable car was excessive) I stumbled upon the following poster at a bus stop.

The musical “Please Look After Mom” (어마를 부탁해) (based on Shin Kyung-sook’s novel of the same title) is running at the Gwangwhamun Art Hall. It only runs until the 19th of this month, so book your tickets to Korea now (feel free to kip in our spare bedroom!).

I’m assuming this was resurrected as a result of the books rather large success overseas?
