Dongguk University

On June 9th, from 1 to 6 pm, Dongguk University and the National Research Foundation of Korea will hold it’s sixth symposium, the 2011 Transnationalism and Cultural Translation Project Distinguished Lecture Series.

The first topic is  “Ambassadorial Perspective on Transnationalism” featuring H.E. Dr. Eamon McKee, Ambassador of Ireland and H.E. Mr. Lars Vargo, Ambassador of Sweden.

The second topic is “Academic Perspective on Cultural Translation” featuring Brother Anthony of Taize (Professor Emeritus, Sogang U.) and Professor Chull Wang (Professor of English, Chonbuk National U.).

There will be ample time for discussion and the day will end with a Bloomsday Celebration performance of James Joyce’s play, Eveline.
