The History of Korean Literature in Translation – This Saturday in Seoul

Screen Shot 2015-03-25 at 7.09.28 PMJoin me on Saturday 28th March for a trip from Shamanist chants, through pansori, pundan munhak, modern literature and post-modern literature. I will begin with philosophy, roll quickly through history, and then arrive at modern literature (From The Tale Of Hong Gildong on) and outline it through primarily translated literature that is available for any English language reader. The event is sponsored by Barry “Badaboom-badabing” Welsh and the Seoul ABC Book Club.

The first 25 attendees will receive a digital copy of The Explorer’s Guide to (translated) Korean Literature, which is about 100 pages of the history of Korean literature with an appendix of books that can be found in the English language.

After, attempt to trap me with the cleverness of booby-trapped questions.^^  Perhaps, after that, we will be off for a drink at a local boite.

Do come along.^^
