When Bookstores do Good Things for Bad People: Anthology of Korean Literary AND Blue in the Seed

Kind of dragging after a so-so radio show today, so I decided to go into Itaewon and hit the three foreigner bookstores.  The first one was just in the process of re-stocking (tubs and tubs of books), so there was nothing much to look at. What The Book had nothing.

But oh, the Foreigners Bookstore!

When you already have this book in your collection (LOL – note interesting title):

Korean Literary Volume 1

You naturally wonder if there were any that followed?

Which is why it is splendid when you come across these two books bundled together, and for only 18 chun!

Literary 2 AND 3!

These are from 1988 and there is one copy of one of them for sale on the internet, and the other does not seem to exist except in your grubby paw.

And then, you discove a book by your ‘original’ Korean author Kim Yong-ik, except it seems to be in way better shape than the different volume you have:

Blue in the Seed

But then opening it you discover some vandal … VANDAL has written in it…..

Only to discover that vandal was the author when he autographed the book!

Kim Yong-ik's Autograph

That is an excellent day at the bookstore!
