WHAT IS IT?
An awesome opportunity for those of you among KTLIT readers and Catch the Wave (Arirang International Radio) Listeners who are into Korean Literature. Early Spring, Mid-Summer is one of the 10 excellent collections published in the Modern Korean Short Stories series by Si-sa-yong-o-sa Publishing and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO. And it is expensive and rare (note the alarming prices on the three available copies as represented by the snapshot from Amazon on the right).
It’s a collection of semi-traditional separation stories and some surprising stories in other genres.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?
Write a 250-300 word essay (Word, rtf, or PDF format, please!) on why you like Korean literature, what it means to you, or why you want this particular book. Then send that essay to me here at KTLIT. The deadline is October 31, or as we know it in the US, Halloween! Just write that sucker up and email it to KTLIT (charles AT ktlit DOT com) and you are entered!
WHAT HAPPENS THEN?
The winning essay (and perhaps some of the others) will be posted on KTLIT and this excellent and expensive book will be shipped to you. Runners up may receive other books of lesser value.^^
